Sarah Semark is a very lovely lady. She lives in Scotland but grew up in Canada. Sarah has been working as a designer for ten years. But she has only been working for Automattic for two and a half years. She first started out running her own Company. That company lasted for 8 years when she was in Canada. In her business she was working on mostly websites and missed doing logos. She also missed working with people. She likes Automattic a lot because you have a lot of freedom. You don’t have to go into a office and work from 9 to 5. You have a lot of room to travel as long as you get your work done.
Sarah did not get a college degree. She did however go to King’s College in Canada for a philosophy degree for a year. But she got bored and quit. Then she went to a community college to do graphic design for a year. But she ended up teaching herself how to do design. Now she is a product designer.
I enjoyed interviewing her and learning about what Automattic has to offer. This was an awesome opportunity.
